None of this “here are some clips of some stuff I see when I drive” bs that I usually post. This video is just good old fashioned bad driving.

Inspired by Rainbow’s post !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! . Keep in mind that 1. Yes I can be quick on the horn, and 2. The fisheye lens makes things like the gold Camry look further away than they are. Also, +100 internet points if you sit through the whole clip of the white Buick. I barely sat through it in real life.

I’m sorry to hear that.

People in Omaha are generally very good drivers. This is basically all the worst stuff I see in a given month. That being said I don’t usually drive during rush hour.

Yeah, rush hour makes everything exponentially worse. Here the no turn signal cut-offs and using a turn lane to cut everyone at an intersection are kind of the norm.

Fun Omaha story that you might (or might not) care to hear: I was moving out here from California a while back and drove a moving truck towing my car. Stopped in Omaha in the middle of the night in a parking lot to sleep. Woke up and a car show was set up right next to me in the lot. A couple of guys walked up to the truck and I thought I was in trouble for being in the way. Instead, they asked if I wanted to unload the car and join them in the show for a bit! Left a pretty good impression of Omaha haha.

Yup. I try to beat it but if I sleep in I’m screwed. There are some terrible drivers in the Detroit Metro though!

Yeah a little bit, it wasn’t really so bad with the 25 in a 35 for most of the time since it was snowing. But the approach to the intersection was just excruciating.

Meh, I gave him to the count of three. I’m usually a little more patient but for whatever reason there I wasn’t. Maybe he was on the phone, maybe I was in a hurry, or it’s entirely possible I was just being a jerk.

These are the type of people who breathe a big sigh of relief after passing their driver’s test. As if there is no longer a need to apply effort towards being a good driver, towards preventing wrecks.
